February Act of Surrender

Decision making isn't easy, but life's a challenge, and along with challenge comes opportunity.  Through my decisions, I have been guided by the Lord to accept two (what I call) "hobby jobs" along with taking initiative to explore my future with excitement.  I've granted myself the blessing to stop  forcing myself into a career path that I utterly dread the thought of, but instead become excited about something that holds so much possibility.  Even in the little things that I've decided, like making a sweater or decorating and designing organization products (I know, I'm weird like that) I've been able to take ownership of who I am. It's not summer without you

There are moments in every girl's life that are bigger than we know at the time.  When you look back, you say, That was one of those life-changing, fork-in-the-road moments and I didn't even see it coming.  I had no idea.  And then there are the moments that you know are big.  That whatever you do next, there will be an impact.  Your life could go in one of two directions.  Do or die. Recently I've been trying to fill my time with activities while applying for jobs and trying to figure out what exactly I want to do with my life.  I'm trying really hard to figure it out as fast as I can, because I don't like the uncertainty.  I mastered the art of pretending I am comfortable not knowing, I've gotten really good at telling jokes or asking questions about someone else to avoid the questioning for myself.  I've analyzed myself again and again, wondering why I'm struggling with figuring it out. So during this time I've kept busy by teaching myself how to make homemade bread, granola, perfected some cookie recipes, even made my own soap.  Along with t...
